Hi Rooters

Sit back while I tell you my tale. I am working on some very early families who married into the Chickasaw,Cherokee & Choctaw Nations in the late 1700's and early 1800's. They were in the Arkansas Co (early Co that is), Arkansas, Northern Ms and Shelby and Tipton Co Tn. Now to get to the meat of the problem. John R ALLEN (Dawes Testimony says he was Cherokee) and wife Catherine(same source says she was Chickasaw) had known children:

1.Levica ALLEN B abt1795 Chickasaw Bluffs MS m 1st Robert P BAYLEY(BAILEY) Apr 23 1812in Arkansas Co AR and had 1 child, Frances Catherine BAILEY b 1814,m.2nd in 1818 Co Christopher MOORE b 1801 Arkansas Post they also were m in Arkansas Co AR. They had two children Dorothy and Sally b bef 1818 and after 1815. Levica ( alias/Vicy, anie) d before 1818.

2. Willie ALLEN b abt 1800 in m Katherine GRACE 1828 in Shelby Co Tn they had one child Benjamin F ALLEN. Willie d in 1831 Harvey Bacon and Wyatt CHRISTIAN witnessed his will. His wife Katherine remarried in 1833 to a WHITTNER.

3. Mary ALLEN B 1813 in TN m Harvey BACON b 1800 OH, Jul 1831 They had 5 known children:

a. Martha Alice BACON b abt 1833 m 1st a LAFLORE, & 2n a FRANKLEIN, she d aft 1904 b. Thomas Stewart BACON b abt 1835 m Martha STOVER (CHEROKEE) he & all brothers were in Stan Watie's Mnt Cher Reg. he abt d 1870 c. Bailey BACON b abt 1838 m Minerva --. d 1876 left children Frank and Mary . Minerva d a short time later children lived for a while with Wm H BACON. d. Joel BACON b abt 1840 have on info on him he is named in Dawes as not living. e. William Henderson BACON B 1845 Vicksburg Ms on way to Indian Terr. m 1st Frances Isabella Lisenbee b 1845 Ky in Sept of 1866. 2nd Sammie Electra Hancock 1886. contact me for children

Still with me ? Now it really gets interesting back to the MOORE's

Christoper MOORE(see above) M 2n Kitty MITCHELL daug of Delilah LOVE and 1st husband -- MITCHELL. They had several children if interested contact me.

John B (Basset?)MOORE b 1782 La m Delilah LOVE MITCHELL they had several children before John d in 1838, again contact me.

Colbert MOORE b 1803 and brother to Christopher, Sarah Ann and probably John and possibly Annie. Colbert m Fraces Catherine BAILEY (see above) 1828. They had several children- contact me. Colbert was listed as a interpreter for the Chickasaws.

Sarah Ann MOORE b LA m Henry LOVE had several children. I have also found another marriage record for Henry to Elizabeth MEEZELL 1809 in Ark Co Annie MOORE b 1833 Piegon Roost Ms m John SMALLWOOD bro of Choctaw Chief SMALLWOOD

There's lots more if any of you are still with me and interested (G)
