Alphonso Bailey Roark, was my great grandfather, son of Benjamin Franklin Roark and Elizabeth Kemp. He was born 12/15/1866 in Panola County, Indian Territory. He married Dora Smith, b.10/16/1876, daughter of Thomas Smith and Lourinda (Surname unknown) of Fannin County, Texas. Alphonso and Dora were married on his birthday, 12/15/1891 by Judge Kemp, Judge of Panola County. The marriage license was fifty dollars. Alphonso was the Clerk of Panola County in the Chickasaw Nation.

Alphonso and his wife Dora Smith were the parents of Georgia Mae, Annie Laura, William Edgar, Ruthie Pearl, Charlie Yeizer, Ruby Lourinda and Alvin Franklin Roark.

Dora Smith, born 10/16/1876, was the daughter of Thomas and Lourinda Smith of Fannin County, Texas.
