My grandfather was Alvin Franklin Roark, b. 8/9/1913 in Ardmore, OK.

Alvin's parents were Alphonso Bailey Roark and Dora Smith (later Axhelm).

Alvin Franklin ROARK. Born Aug 9, 1913 in Ardmore, OK. Died Dec 13, 1969 in Omaha, NE. Buried in Hillcrest Cemetary, Omaha, NE. Occupation Steam fitter, Master Welder.

He married Mabel Dorene YOUNG, daughter of Ernest Americus YOUNG & Pearl Mabel MOORE, Mar 4, 1933 in Omaha, NE. Born May 7, 1911 in Norfolk, NE. Died Dec 25, 1978 in Omaha, NE. Buried in Omaha, NE. Occupation Bookkeeper.

They had the following children:

  1. Alvin Bruce ROARK
  2. Frank Ernest ROARK
  3. Donald Flane ROARK
  4. Rulita Lucille (Lee Ann) ROARK

Where did it begin?

I looked back to Alvin's grandmother, Frances Elizabeth Kemp, and her interview for the Oklahoma Indian-Pioneer Interviews in 1937 for insight and clues, thankfully, she names her parents & grandparents.
